HOW IT BEGAN
|
The "Lions Club of Coboconk" applied for membership to The International Association of Lions Clubs,on June 22,1953 and received its charter on the 24th day of July, 1953.

Coboconk Lions Hall & Community Centre
Construction of the Coboconk Lions Hall and Community Centre started in 1954 and was opened one year later.
The mortgage was paid off in 1967 (see article below.) and shortly afterwards, the hall and community centre were donated to Bexley Township.
The Coboconk and District Lions Club use the building to this day.
